Thoughts

I am deeply saddened to learn about Malcom’s passing. He touched many lives: family, friends and all the patients that his large volume of work reached in so many ways. It was a great privilege to have been a colleague of his in Clinical Pharmacology. He was kind, fun, caring, knowledgeable, and, what made working with him so good, was that knew what was important to get the task completed to a high standard. He will be sadly missed by so many people. All who knew him will know how important his family was to him. He loved being a husband, father and grandfather. I suspect he was a very mischievous influence on his grandchildren. My deepest condolences go to his family at this difficult time. He is now reunited with his beloved Lynne.

To Malcolm's Friends and Loved Ones: I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our dear colleague, Malcolm Mitchell. His departure has left a void that will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As a member of the Lilly tadalafil PK team and Lilly clinic, Malcolm brought not only expertise but also warmth and kindness to every interaction. His big-hearted personality endeared him to everyone around him, and his memory will continue to inspire and comfort us in the days ahead. To his family, friends, and all who held him dear, please accept my heartfelt condolences. May you find solace in the cherished memories you shared with Malcolm, and may his spirit continue to live on through the love and affection he spread.

A really good friend and neighbour for over 36 years. Great memories of countless quiz nights, cricket at Lords and the Ageas Bowl and many funny stories over a beer or three. My favourite sporting memory is when I took Malcolm to Molineux to watch Wolves v Newcastle. Sat amongst the most die hard Wolves fans I’d warned him not to display any hint of support for Newcastle and to soften the ‘geordie’ as much as possible. His restraint was remarkable as his beloved team scored and outplayed us for most of the game and when we equalised in the 90th minute his emotional control was something to behold. (He even managed to appear to be celebrating). So many good memories, rest in peace my friend.
